My first and foremost important vision in the next a year and half is to get my Bachelor Degree in Finance and Investment. That's why I am taking all the required class for the major, passing the classes with relatively high grades, and learn something from them. Well.. that's not hard to accomplish, so I don't worry about that too much. Another vision of mine is to acquire a challenging position in the field of investment banking. As for this, I have to first work on my first vision. I am also searching for part-time job and internships to gain as much working experience as I can possibly get. Also, I will be volunteering in VITA. I know VITA doesn't really deal with finance, but any experience helps and VITA does help me gain experience dealing with customers/strangers. So, it's a good opportunity. Another vision of mine is to move out of my parents' house by the time I graduate. It sounds easy to accomplish, but it does require some financial stability. So, I have to obtain a secure position first. And what I am doing now is looking for part-times/internship that hopefully will secure a full-time position after graduation. I am also trying not to spend as much as I used to, which is pretty hard, especially with inflation, the decline of the dollar, and living in New York City. But, I'll try.
As I am writing this, I wonder what's the difference between goal and vision? According to the video, the person said the vision has to be leader initiated, shared & supported, Comprehensive & specified, and positive & inspiring, but doesn't goal has the same criteria or characteristic?

thanks for the support Amy. And thank you for saying that I'm gonna get married. I hope it comes true too. We all want to graduate and I know we all are so don't worry about that one. Investment Banking is tough. Are you going to be able to be working 100 hours a week? I admire you if you can. And it's good thing that you are doing things now for your future. Good Luck with everything!
Thanks for your comment, it looks like we have a lot in common....
the most important being get a finance degree and move out. I think a lot of teenagers struggle with this, especially as students going to a "non-campus" school. But i don't think any of us would want to add "animal style drinking" to our hectic schedules of internships and upper level finance classes....
i guess that's part of the reason that we all yearn to move out so much. So that as adults with a job, and a degree, we can have the freedom, finally and once and for all, to live our lives our way. We deserve it don't we?
