A management problem huh?? Hmm...
Well... if anything I would say I'm having management problem at work. I am currently teaching senior foreigners English to prepare them for the citizenship interview. One of the management problems I have is to motivate them to learn and continue to improve. Although passing the citizenship interview can be a motivation for them, when it gets to hard, many of them would simply give up and would not show up for class anymore. So basically, I have to constantly think of some ways to encourage them to learn and ways to help them remember the materials better.
Another management problem I am facing is I can't adjust to the pace or level of ALL students. The class has at least 10 people (or more) and not everyone is at the same level. Some people learn faster than the others. Whenever I am teaching the class, I am worried that if I go too fast, half of the class wouldn't understand and can't catch up. Yet, if I go too slow, half of the class would be bored and fall asleep on me. So I have no idea what I should do.

Teaching others is not easy especially when they are in the classroom not because the class is interesting but because they need to take it for some reasons. I understand the problem you have because I used to teach teenagers. There were about 35 of them in a class. So, it was hard to draw their attention at all times and motivate them to learn.
Personally, I believe that using visual materials as much as possible and doing various kinds of class activities such as playing games are effective to encourage students to learn. Sometimes, give them rewards... such as chocolate... Regardless of students' ages, getting something for rewards makes them feel good and makes the class enjoyable.
For adjusting to the pace or level of your students, I don't think anybody can satisfy every single student's need in a class. If more than half of your students understand you well, I think that's fine.
I can see how seriously you're trying to help your students prepare for the citizenship interview. I think most of them will know your effort, and someday they will remember you as one of the best teachers.
